I was challenged into helping a friend out with her re-entrance into the wonderful world of dating.  Amy has been a friend of mine for the past 5 years, since she moved from the midwest to our little southern beach town with her 2 kids in tow.  They were ready for a new start.

I was also ready for a new start, and moved away from the all-too-quaint slow, southern town that I had called home for the past 18 years after graduating from college.  I came back to town because I had to.  I needed to downsize, repack and renegotiate a few parts of my life before I moved on to the next project.

The invitation from Amy seems harmless enough, and a perfect little diversion.

Just last week, I wondered why I never wrote about love or personal relationships through any of my assignments.  I seem to stay clear of anything that might be misconstrued as personal or about matters of the heart.

No time like the present to make some changes.
